update
Well, we've had a worry-some week with Dan's mom having health problems & being hospitalized in Iowa City. So far, they're treating carefully a blood clot in her liver, have done many tests & determined that she had developed cirrhosis {sp?} of the liver from Hepatitis C that she evidently had gotten from a blood transfusion that she had when she was pregnant with her first child {45 yrs ago}. Isn't it crazy how some of these things come about. So, Dan's been busy traveling to & from between work & everything else... today is the first time he's gotten to see her since Wednesday night, which has been heavy on his heart. This morning the boys & Lydia made cards to send with daddy for grandma. We also sent some new pictures of Lydia, which I'll post next {thought we'd send some things to cheer her up}. Keep Bev in your prayers please!
Prayers, wishes, etc.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. We've had a jumble of everything going on here! Collin had a overload of homework last week... I truly could not believe how many tests, worksheets, reading etc etc he had! Which, of course, means, my nights were consumed with helping studying, pushing him to finish what he needed & trying to keep him from getting overwhelmed! We made it through & he did pretty well on all his tests. This week has been a lot lighter load {thank goodness!}. Collin came home yesterday & said he had tried out for the YCC {Youth Crusader Choir} & he was chosen! YAY Collin! Of course, he couldn't understand why I was so excited for him. Let me tell you, him being so spontaneous & trying out for something like that on a whim is a stretch for Collin. He would have fretted for weeks about the thought of it a year ago... he's definitely gaining more confidence in himself and his abilities.
Happy Birthday KIMMMMMM
I'm wishing a Happy Happy Birthday to my big sis KIM {Lydia loves to say KIM} who is 37 today!!!! Kim & I are very close... we're the closest in age & she has been by my side when each of my children were born in the operating room. She's a GREAT sister {as are all my sisters} and couldn't imagine my life without her!
