update

Well, we've had a worry-some week with Dan's mom having health problems & being hospitalized in Iowa City.  So far, they're treating carefully a blood clot in her liver, have done many tests & determined that she had developed cirrhosis {sp?} of the liver from Hepatitis C that she evidently had gotten from a blood transfusion that she had when she was pregnant with her first child {45 yrs ago}.  Isn't it crazy how some of these things come about.  So, Dan's been busy traveling to & from between work & everything else... today is the first time he's gotten to see her since Wednesday night, which has been heavy on his heart.  This morning the boys & Lydia made cards to send with daddy for grandma.  We also sent some new pictures of Lydia, which I'll post next {thought we'd send some things to cheer her up}.  Keep Bev in your prayers please!

Yesterday was Lydia's dentist appointment, which actually went pretty well.  She cried, of course, when they brushed her teeth.  Good news is all her canine teeth {which I was worried were never coming in} are soon on there way.  Word is within the next several weeks they should all be through.  Dr also says that the skin between her top lip & gum are attached too close & may have to have it cut with a laser before her permanent teeth come in or, as the dr says, she'll end up looking like Madonna!
