project life. week 4. jan 22-28.

so, this week, I started wondering... what would my Project Life pages look like in digital? maybe not the exact layout & format that I've been doing in paper, but just wondering what I could do. if I'd be happy with the results, what kind of time I'd put into it vs paper, plus, I was really wanting to try out some digi items I've done recently in the PL format & see how I liked them {plus sort of seeing what I'm wanting/needing to create}.  I'm pretty happy with the results. I'm not totally sure which way I'm going to go... stay with paper, switch to the digital, or maybe I'll just mix the two? I'm enjoying saving the kids' papers & some of the "extras" we have from the week, so I know they will still find their way into some inserts. I started out trying a few different things. I tried putting it into the format that I've been using {design A}, but finally went with the Protectors Set 1 from Karla Dudley.  I created a layout with them before & just loved how they looked. Of course it's smaller overall, but I just placed it on the Grid paper from my Everyday paper kit. I like how I feel like I'm still fitting everything into the little pockets.

so here is page 1...

on this page I've used elements from the Everyday kits, LoveLoveLove, HelloLove, Kraft Funday & Party, Tag You're It all from my shop & a tag from Jen Allyson, a tag & sticker from Karla Dudley & part of a journaling card from Paislee Press. Papers are from Kraft Party, Everyday & LoveLoveLove from my shop.

& page 2

on this page I used elements from LoveLoveLove, HelloLove, Kraft Funday, Everyday & InStitches Freebie from my shop & also used a few tags from Karla Dudley's a Life Recorded. Papers are from Kraft Party, Everyday & LoveLoveLove from my shop. I also used Gennifer Bursett's Toolbox shadow styles.

in the end, I probably ended up spending as much time as I usually do per week, but that also included time i put into figuring out my layout, etc. I did save time when it came to not having to photograph & edit photos of the pages, which was nice. I think since I have a layout figured out, I'd probably save quite a bit of time on the following pages.

soooo, what do you think?

I LOVE it...but then I LOVE everything you do. That typewriter font is so great...could you share which one it is? And now I'm off to shop for more goodies in your shop while they are on sale. Just love them all. Oh and I had NO idea when I bought those My Minds Eye stamps that they were created by you....I LOVE THOSE!!!! :) Thanks so much for your creativity and sharing it!

Robyn, love the digi version. Must buy Karla's templates. I am doing the Shutterfly version this year b/c we have a home remodel going on and this is the best way for me this year. Last year I did the paper version and loved it but it was a lot of commitment to print photos, corner round and fill in all pockets PLUS it took up two very full binders which causes storage issues. Next year, I'd love to do my own digital version. Thanks for all the inspiration you share!!!
