new release 9.21

Hey everyone... hope you're enjoying the beginning of fall!  Here in Iowa, we've been going in between summer & fall type weather.  I'm trying to soak up all the sunshine I can while it's out :)  I can see my nice pool tan quickly fading :)  anyway, thanks to everyone who stocked up their carts last weekend for my year anniversary sale at DHD!  you are all so wonderful & can't thank you enough for all the love & support you've thrown my way :) I have just a paper kit this week... but I couldn't resist the colors.

seriously... coffee... I can't wait to wake up & make my pot {this limited ed. flavor from Target is my fave right now}. it gets me through my day :) 

I'm off today to hang out with Dan & Evan in St. Louis at a Cardinals game... we scored some last minute seats for a game & can't wait to see them again!  We're hooked after our first game experience in July :) Go Cards!!!

going after dreams... 1 year later

do you ever feel this way? This is truly how I feel about the last year or so of my design career... taking a BIG risk staying at home with my daughter full time while trying to pull off a full time design position from home. Quitting a good job because I just couldn't do it all. Putting myself out there by trying my hand at digital design & then approaching Jen at Design House Digital to sell my designs. All these things are WAY beyond my normal comfort zone.  I would have never pushed myself so hard or made myself do these things normally.  But I did.  & it's opened so many doors for me.  It's like they say, one door closes so another can open. If I hadn't contacted Jen, I would never have kept up with the digital design {which I LOVE}, would never had met so many of the wonderful, amazing people I have met through Design House Digital & would never had the opportunity to design for My Mind's Eye. I'm truly in awe of what you can do if you just put yourself out there!

today marks the day 1 year ago that I debuted my digital designs at DHD... I can't believe it!  it's definitely been a whirlwind & so, so much fun!  Like I said, I've met so many amazing people that I couldn't imagine not having a part of my life in just this short time.  so dream, dream, dream... but put those dreams in motion, you just never know where it will lead :)

so in celebration... I'm having a sale in my shop this weekend... a freebie & a $1 kit + 25% off EVERYTHING! I hope you'll pick up a few things & I'll see all your wonderful creations in the DHD gallery! enjoy!

new release 9.15

I've got a new release for you today... really, it might be a little over-the-top, but I've been looking at so much fashion inspiration on Pinterest, magazines & catalogs lately.  I took a little of what I've been seeing {& loving} & combined the fun patterns into one kit...

I changed a little how I'm selling these kits too.  I combined the patterned & solids into one kit for just a little extra & added the alphas with the elements.  I felt like I was giving  you more for the money this way.  I'm open for thoughts on what you think of this, of course :)

here's wishing my amazing husband a happy 41st birthday today {& his twin sister Donna}!  we all love you both so much!  Dan... you're an incredible husband, wonderful father & all around great person & I'm so proud of you & everything you do! Love ya honey!
