goodbye & we love you
Several months ago, we received a call from Dan's parents that his mother, Bev hadn't been feeling well & they were taking her to our local university hospital. Well, over these last months we've watched this strong, boisterous, hard headed mother of 4 boys & 2 girls deteriorate to a weak, silent, helpless victim of her disease {hepatitis c from a blood transfusion more than 35 yrs ago}. After months upon months of suffering, my mother in law Bev passed away this morning. I think I can speak for the entire family & thank any nurse, doctor, priest, friend or relative who has in any way touched her or our families life during this time. I know Dan is extremely appreciative of his sister's Donna & Cindy for all they've done as well, traveling each week to stay for their "shift" to make Bev & Joe more comfortable & so she could remain at home. As well as to his brother Al who drove them back & forth to the doctors visits & Luke & Dan have filled in when needed for day stays, overnights & lawn mowing or just to spend time with Joe, as you can imagine this has been so overwhelming for him. It's been a long hard road, but we're so thankful she is watching over us all & is no longer in pain. In fact Lydia just told me a few weeks ago that she had a dream about grandma Meierotto & that in her dream she had wings & she was flying. It touched me so because she was very confused when she told me, with a frown on her face... "but mommy, gramma is very sick & she needs her rest". I guess she really is an angel now. we love you Bev <3

Oh Robyn, I am so sorry to hear this . . . losses like this are hard, but knowing that she is no longer in pain makes it a little more bearable. I want you to know that you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
