hey everyone!  I have  a few new releases this week...

finally... some elements to go along with the papers I released last week!  I think they're fun :)

and 2... count 'em... TWO new InStitches layered templates.  inspired by some super awesome layouts I had pinned to my Pinterest board...

totally cool & super easy to create some layouts that LOOK labor intensive. hope you enjoy!

project life. week 8. feb 19-feb 25.

I FINALLY got back to my project life... ugh. I've just been swamped with a bunch of other stuff & haven't taken the time.  I'm hoping to keep doing a little here & there to get caught up.  So, here's week 8...

quick overview. funny quotes from Lydia. Interesting reading. New batting gloves for Evan. My one year anniversary of reaching lifetime status with Weight Watchers.  Leap into Kindergarten for Lydia.

Shooting up the gingerbread house. Checking on loose teeth. Starting the birthday planning with invites. finishing up Science fair with Collin {thank goodness!}. My BEST run since I started running a year ago. Working on school projects. Pizza, ice cream, game & fun with friends.

I'm not going to list all my supplies for a while, I'm just trying to get 'er done.  Certainly if you are curious about a certain thing, just leave a comment & I'll try to get back to you asap.  A good portion is either from my or Gennifer Bursett's digi shop at DHD.

hey everyone! lots to share with you today! first things first...as promised, I have a winner for the DHD blog hop {a $5 gift certificate to my store}.  I did a random drawing & this lucky lady is the winner...

now... this week I have a new collab with the fab Audrey Neal!  I've loved Audrey's stuff ever since I started digi scrapping, so it was an honor to work with her on our new kit Softly.

& yes, sometimes I create kits just to suit me...lol.  I was kinda obsessed with the colors for Lydia's party & party dress {I mean how cute is that dress... really!} so I used those colors & the idea of a party for inspiration.  I was hoping to get elements done as well, but I was running short on time this week :(  I'll try my best for next week!

hope you're having a great week...we're enjoying super warm weather here... I'm talking 70s, nearly 80.  It's been perfect for Collin's start to golf season, time to sign up for a new baseball season for Evan & a perfect week for my parents to come back from Texas! We're all VERY happy to have them back home!  We missed them very much!

Happy 5th Birthday Lydia!

5 years ago, my 3rd & final baby arrived. To our suprise, it was a girl, so tiny & beautiful.  We named her Lydia Marie. She started out very small & quiet & slept so sweetly.  Since then, she has grown very tall, very beautiful, very smart, very sweet, & very blonde.  She is also very loud & very demanding & hates to sleep.  She is sweet & funny one minute, bossy & emotional the next.  She says the most incredible things.  Every single day there is something that she says that makes us laugh.

You, Miss Lydia are a most amazing little girl.  You've FOREVER changed everyone's lives.  I'm so proud to be your mommy & love you beyond words.  I KNOW you are something very special.  I also know that daddy loves you more than anything.  There is a truly special place in his heart for his little girl.  And even though they might not always admit it, Collin & Evan love you so so much... {when you're not bossing them around}

DHD Mad March Blog Hop!

Hey everyone! We are doing a blog hop today including some tips, tricks and freebies. Make sure to visit all the blogs today to collect a letter from each! But first... I'd like to show you one way I've been using my digi scrapbook stash recently for my daughter's birthday party! I created her birthday invites with the Happy Day Kits, some stithing from InStitches & Karla Dudleys protector pockets!

Here is how it looks before I put the protector pocket on...

It's basically a real simple mini scrapbook page.  I layered a background pattern, took the birthday die cut card & used it as a clipping mask for my patterned paper, & UNDER the opening in the card I added about 5 different layers of the confetti from the kit, positioned & moved around in different ways.  Between the different confetti layers, I added the word strips from the kit & also one of the bursts that I had added a number to, to signify which birthday it was.  On TOP of the card I added stitching as well as another one of the word strips.  I added the info that I wanted to add & after that was all done, I added Karla's protector to make it look like a little shaker. DONE

Digital kits are a really great way to create party invitations {& thank you's) for a few or a bunch of people!  I made these with my Happy Day kits & printed them at home, because I didn't need a ton, but I've also had them printed at Persnickety Prints & they're awesome.  I do invites up digitally for most all our birthdays, plus I've done Christmas cards too. It's really a great way to add a personal touch with a kids photo, family photos, a pet, whatever & make it just the way YOU like it!  It's really like a mini scrapbook page & really very economical! Sorry I don't have more for you... we've been in full on party mode today!
