Christmas projects

Christmasprojects

Evansornaments

Collinshouse

I wish I could say it was me working on Christmas projects, but it's the boys.  They have been constantly working on lots of different things.  Evan has been working on MANY things, I think he's made stuff for about everyone in our immediate & extended family, friends, teachers.  The ornaments are for him {the one with the E} and the other is for his teacher.  I thought it turned out really cool & he did it all himself.  Glass ornament, elmer's glue & lots & lots of glitter {it's everywhere!}.  Collin made a few ornaments as well & his little house with the door & the inside with the gifts, rug, etc.  You guys are so creative!  I love seeing what they come up with.  Hopefully everyone else will love your gifts as well!
Oh... & the little jar with the berries coming out of it is for Evan's teacher also.  He used an old jar, filled it with pennies & thought of how the tree could stick out himself... complete with his cute little face!

pigtails

Pigtailsback

Pigtails

While Lydia was home with me on Friday, we tried pigtails.  She was very proud & kept going to look in the mirror, moving her head from side to side.  The day before, we did a little pony on top of her head & she ran over to the boys & wouldn't leave them alone until they acknowledged her beautiful do!  She's really something these days... is enjoying the pretty things... mardi gras beads are the best!  By the way, she's feeling better, but Evan's got the sores in his mouth now.  Hopefully he'll get those cleared up soon.  More on the little funny lady later.

Happy {belated} Birthday Eliza!

Just wanted to give a little shout out our little friend Eliza, who just turned 2 the other day.  I hope you had a good birthday... there is a package coming in the mail for you soon!

I'm still here...

Just been a little busy to blog!  We had a rough weekend with Lydia, originally thinking she was teething, we had a hard time calming her over the weekend.  She was obviously feeling lousy, drooling all over the place & pulling at her mouth.  Then, on Monday night, when I was getting her ready for bed, I noticed a rash on her legs & happened to look at her hands & saw nasty blisters on each of her forefingers.  Then on Tuesday I finally got a look in her mouth & found a huge sore on the side of her tongue & a smaller on on the inside of her lower lip.  We had been thinking it was hand, foot, mouth disease, which she & the other kids at the babysitter had in the spring... now it's for sure {one of the other kids got the official diagnosis from the doctor}.  It's a nasty nasty virus that apparently you can get more than once, since there are different strains.  Last time she had the sores on her feet & on her tongue.  She's definitely feeling better, hopefully she'll be full force by next week so we can gear up for the holidays.  More later!

Christmas card pics

On Friday morning, my sister came over to try to catch some shots of the kids to send out with our Christmas cards.  As always, it was quite a challenge to get them all 3 to cooperate together.  Lydia never wants to sit still long enough to get her picture taken.  The boys were really good about it, trying to be ready when we could finally get Lydia in position & looking at the camera.  I had to resort to doing "itsy bitsy spider" to make her look up & not cry.  I think Carol was worn out by the end.  Thought I'd share a few cute shots, including Evan giving her a kiss, all three looking at the doll {had to have something in her hands at all times} & Lydie hugging her doll {plus it shows her way cute outfit... found the cute baby Gap jean skirt with snowflakes at the resale shop, the sweater & legwarmers at Target & the baby gap quilted patent red shoes at the resale shop... oh & the bow my friend Sarah made!}.
